Everybody has a story to tell. Everybody’s story is different, and specific to their personal struggles and journey in life. What if I told you that God want’s us to share these stories with each other. In John 1:35 God calls us to share our stories with others so that they can hopefully find him as well. Each of us go through struggles and yet we come out on the other side. For someone who is dealing with the same struggle, they may not understand how you got to the other side- thus God commands us to share our journey with others.
This week, our pastor spoke hard on this in his message. It felt like his words were spoken directly to me, and the only thing that God kept placing in my head was “you need to restart your blog, you have so many stories to tell! Why keep them to yourself?” I’m not sure why God is calling me to start this up again, but He is- and if I have learned anything over the past year, it is that when God calls you to do something- you do it!
The next day John was back at his post with two disciples, who were watching. He looked up, saw Jesus walking nearby, and said, “Here he is, God’s Passover Lamb.” The two disciples heard him and went after Jesus. Jesus looked over his shoulder and said to them, “What are you after?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?” He replied, “Come along and see for yourself.” They came, saw where he was living, and ended up staying with him for the day. It was late afternoon when this happened. Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the two who heard John’s witness and followed Jesus. The first thing he did after finding where Jesus lived was find his own brother, Simon, telling him, “We’ve found the Messiah” (that is, “Christ”).John 1:35 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/jhn.1.35-51.MSG
